We’re back to full numbers. After the return of our international players, it’s time for the final preparations for the next match, Friday’s away game in Velenje.

“Everyone came back healthy, which is the most important thing. Viler and Bohar have been back in training since Monday. Kabha, Ahmedi and Kramarič returned on Tuesday evening and re-joined the team at Wednesday’s practice. Now we’re only waiting for the players who were with the Slovenia under-19 national team. These breaks during the season are a welcome thing, but when you return to work, you cannot wait to start playing matches again. We’re already eagerly anticipating the return of league football,” said Darko Milanič upon welcoming the absent players back to Ljudski vrt.

Apart from the players, who returned from their national teams another important name is back on the team sheet: as expected, Marko Šuler is back from injury.
“He had been training individually, but now he’s back with the team, which is a good sign. We’re slowing getting him back to speed with a special training programme. He was out for quite a while with a nasty injury, and that always takes its toll. He won’t be ready to play on Friday, but we’ll be keeping a close eye on him to see if he’s ready to face Liverpool.”

What about the others?
“Milec, who was ill over the weekend, has now taken part in two training sessions. Palčič, however, is still ill. Apart from Šme, who will be out for quite a while after undergoing surgery, Palčič is another player who won’t be ready for the upcoming match.”

After a 13-day break, it’s time for match day number 12. On Friday at 8:20 p.m. against Rudar.
“The boys who were away on international duty must switch back to club football as soon as possible. Big things are expected of them. They managed to reach their current stage by playing well for the club. I expect more of the same in the future. We’re completely focused on our upcoming challenge and things are really looking well. Seeing how hard the boys have been working in training, I am certain that they will have a great game in Velenje. That’s what counts the most for us and that’s how we will behave.”
